WILD AMERICAN SHRIMP HONORS
AN AMERICAN TRADITION WITH LAUNCH OF INAUGRAL
TAILGATING RECIPE CONTEST

In celebration of tailgating - the American sporting tradition where people gather to eat, drink and cheer on their favorite football team - Wild American Shrimp (WASI) is looking to find the best shrimp  tailgating recipes of the season.

WASI and its eight state members, including Texas, Louisiana,  Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina and North Carolina, are hosting the inaugural Tailgating Recipe Contest for  consumers to submit their favorite, original tailgating recipes that use Certified Wild American Shrimp as an ingredient on the WASI Web site. The contest will be judged by Chef Nathalie Dupree who has helped gain attention for Southern cooking through her more than 100  cooking shows, 10 cookbooks and two James Beard Foundation awards.
