Robert E. Zollinger better known as Bob E Z (Bobby Z) or The Z-Man as he was affectionately called by his friends, hailed originally from Ohio but spent the last thirty plus years calling St. Louis home.

He loved the game of football and was a founding member of The St. Louis Bloomers Tailgating Club. There was nothing he wouldn’t try (at least once) and he would do most anything for anybody. He never spoke an unkind word or racial slur toward any race or nationality of any person that we ever knew of. He was the friend that a friend would like to have. If someone sat down and put together the traits they felt necessary or that they would desire in a truly close and good friend, they’d be describing Bob E Z. A Taurus by birth, he was quiet but adventuresome, thoughtful, caring and steadfast. He enjoyed life and was cheated by it in that his was taken early. A week after New Year’s 07, he had a small seizure and was diagnosed with tumors on the brain and in the lung. He had never before had any sign of anything wrong. He remained ever the optimist and fought a good fight but would eventually succumb.

Born April 22, 1952, he died May 1, 2007.

Marc Stanton, 39, of Charlotte, North Carolina passed away suddenly on Thursday, December 14th, 2006. Marc's website PantherFanz.Net lists his occupation as Tailgate Chef.  It goes on to describe his passion for the Party in the Parking Lot...

"Whether I am cooking up from BBQ for 100 of my best friends on the west side of Bank of America stadium or watching the Panthers play in some distant NFL city in the comfort of my home, this is the official place to get an outsiders take on the Panthers and the NFL."

Marc’s quick wit and unique personality will be missed by all. He was survived by by his wife Julie, son Sean (4) and daughter Lillie (1).

September 3rd, 2000 - On behalf of the Kansas City Chief Tailgaters, Mr. Hunt accepts the Tailgating America Tailgater of the Year Award from the Commissioner of Tailgating.

Lamar Hunt
born August 2, 1932 in El Dorado, Arkansas
died December 13th, 2006 in Dallas, Texas

Mr. Hunt touched many lives.  The Commissioner  had the honor of meeting him and his family several times.  This is a very sad loss for the football and Tailgating communities.

The Commissioner said Mr. Hunt was one of the few NFL owners who walked through the parking lot to enjoy the Tailgating and mingle with the fans.  He was truly a leader, an innovator in football, a true  gentleman and a good person.

This from Raider Ron with the The Ultimate Fans Association had this to say in his recent newsletter:

This is a very sad day for those of you that make up the Sea of Red known as the Kansas City Chiefs Fans. I wanted you to know that it is also a sad day for anyone that is a fan of the NFL. We all know that the game & league we love watching would not be what it is today without the contributions of the man known as the Founder of the American Football League. The passing of Lamar Hunt last night marked the loss of one of the greatest contributors the game of pro football has ever had.

On behalf of the fans that make up the “RAIDER NATION”, I would like to pass on our deepest condolences to the Hunt family and the fans of the Kansas City Chiefs in their time of sorrow. We will be grieving with you and have requested a moment of silence to honor Lamar prior to this weeks kick off in Oakland.

”THANKS LAMAR, WE APPRECIATE ALL THAT YOU HAVE DONE!”

September 2005 - Mr Hunt and the Commissioner cut the ribbon to officially open the Arrowhead RV Park.

Sach (Michael Long) from the NY Giants 5H Tailgate passed on Friday (11/03/06)
He was the big guy who had been at 5H since the stadium opened in 1976.

Michael "Sach" Long was born in Teaneck, NJ, a short distance from Giants Stadium, and lived in Easton, Pa. for many years. In the heart of Eagles territory he erected an 8' x 4' permanent New York Giants sign on his house to show his allegiance. His has been tailgating at 5H since Giants Stadium opened in 1976. For several years there were a few guys who tailgated across the aisle from him; squeezed by the flow of traffic that went down the aisle. One day Sach mentioned to them that if they moved to his side of the aisle they would have much more room to tailgate since the parking lot light pole blocked any cars from driving thru and thus was born what is today the NY Giants Big Blue Cookin' Crew Tailgate. Sach was a great tailgater and true NY GIANTS fan and he will surely be missed.

Daniel "Hardcore" Sachar
January 18,1975 to March 28, 2006
2003 Raiders Visa Ultimate Fan

Daniel lived his life with the motto: "Just living out a dream, while following my team."

Believe it or not, the Raiders' biggest fan wasn't raised in the Bay Area. Sachar was born on January 18, 1975, in Schenectady, NY, where he attended both high school and college. In his obituary, it was noted that he loved to cook for family and friends. If you just glanced at his picture, however, this would come across as a downright shock. But if you knew anything about his character, it would become an entirely understandable notion. He loved to be around people-posing in pictures, chatting with fans, and sharing high-fives with fellow supporters throughout the course of games.

Daniel's fiancé E鬠Veronica Ukastine, would dedicate hours during the early portion of game day to paint on the face that made him "Hardcore." But the only thing "hardcore" about Daniel Sachar was his hardcore love for the Oakland Raiders Organization: the management, the coaches, the players, and his fellow fans.

In his obituary, Daniel is delicately referred to as "a gentle giant of a man with the heart of silver and black instead of gold." This is perhaps the best way to describe a man who will truly be missed by all.
